Some pictures of the renovation...

Bedroom 1 (railway side):
The cracks in the ceiling were repaired. A completely new drywall ceiling was an other option but we didn't want to lose time and height with it.
The walls were repaired (thousands of thumbtack holes), put a coloured primer on it and repaired again.
Finished. We found curtains and lamp shades that match the colours of the wall and doors.
This is how we found the middle bedroom.
We've made new doors for this built-in cupboard, the old ones were a wooden frame with wall paper over it.
Bedroom 3 (opposite the bathroom). "Young and fresh" colours?.
Recessed conduits.
Close to the finish.
The dining room with the original stove that was unfortunately taken away by the previous owners. It took a four hours' drive (deep into Limburg) to buy a fitting short stove. Also notice the vintage wallpaper that unfortunately we didn't retain.
This beam was behind the plaster and that lead to cracks. Another small error that took an entire day to rectify.
Not a bad result... with a real vintage lighting fixture!
The entry hall, originally the store.
Got rid of the mantle piece, took the floor covering off the wall (!), put up a framework for the bathroom.
Drywall, doors and panelling.
The interior finishing. We've used plastic wall panelling, because they're warm, cheap and quickly placed.
That's the way the kitchen was...
Tear down and rebuild.
Layout before the drywall is put in place.
Most of the cabinets in place. Plaster and paint require another couple of days.
This was the living room. The curtains were red as well but the ones we've put up are new. The chimney received a prettier finish (the brick look was fake) and the heating conduits are recessed. In the bag on the left against the rear wall we've found the blueprints of which reproductions are placed in the bureau.
We found the top part of this cupboard in the attic and replaced it.
Storage.
The result.
Finally, the jungle... sorry, the garden.
Nice, a plastic roof. Right?
New shingles on the garden shed.
New roof.
The garden fence, before and after...
If you like our colours: the yellow on the walls is S0520Y20R, the brown is S3020Y20R, the stairs are S3020Y40R, the dining room is S0520G50Y. The grey plinths in the bathroom are 7502Y. The white of the ceilings and bathroom is RAL9010. The paint is Mat Plus from Renko Paints (Supermat for the white). The doors are laquered with Aquasatin.
